showers
Showers are so awesome. I don't get to take a shower every day because of the IV line and the stomach tube, and when I do, I can only do it a certain time of day when the meds aren't being pumped in, and then my mom has to tape up my arm and my stomach so nothing tubular gets wet, then I have to get in and get out in case the tape leaks. So it's really kind of a pain in the butt to get in the shower. But it's so nice to be in the hot water using soap and shampoo. I haven't been able to shave in months, so I'm a little ape-ish, but people will just have to deal. And it is so beautiful outside today. We went for a walk at like 8:30 this morning. Now it's 10:30 and I'm ready for a nap after walking and showering. My energy level is still pretty low. But I get to drink water! It tastes so good. Only sips, no gulps. I couldn't gulp it even if I wanted to. I would just choke on it. Sips are good. Baby steps. 17 days until the IV comes out. I can't wait. Getting sleepy now. gotta lay down. nigh night.
