Check up at the doctor

Thank God!  Today went so much better than I thought it would.  The doctor looked long and hard at my throat, so long that it was awkward and I though he was going to say we have to start over, but he smiled real big and said it looked gorgeous.  Everything was healing beautifully and I could start taking sips of cool water in a few days.  He took a scope and hooked it through my nose to look down the back side, which was less than pleasant, but he said it looked great from the back, too.  I'll go back in a week and he'll do all the same checks, and then the next weeks I'll go in for a quick outpatient snip of the something, and then I should be able to eat 3-5 days after that.  So with all prayers answers, I'll be able to eat Cody's birthday cake on May 19.  

Thank you everyone, again, for all your thoughts and prayers.  You keep 'em coming, and I'll keep updating.
